H3H3 poem - the meeting

Guys I've been enlightened. I watched H3H3 and wanted to write a poem about my experiences. Interpret this as you will.

She sent me a picture

I coughed on the pixels

Mouth wide, eyes open

Staring her down

If she wanted a goof

She had me right here

Instead she went searching

And found his jokes

A meal, a goof

A walk, a gaff

A bench, a chuckle

Smitten with his humour

Despite the tuck

The jacket had won

I took my pipe

And sucked deep

3 words; 'funny is subjective'

never had I felt so lost

I'm so excited to finally be moving house! I've only been in Edinburgh for a year now but I'm already sick of my flat so I'm glad to be moving to a new flat on the other side of the city. I've packed all my stuff up ready to go, so hopefully it all goes well.

To be honest it's been a bit more straightforward than I was expecting. I was totally thinking that I'd end up having loads of issues but so far it's been pretty hassle free. I'm using Guardian Removals in Edinburgh to help me shift my stuff as I've heard good things. If they do a good job I'll be sure to let you guys know!

Why 'Star Wars Episode 1 Racer' was the best thing to come out of the prequels

I played N64 A LOT when I was younger, and I still play it today (just not quite as much). And although I played most of the classic games that you'd expect (Mario Kart, Goldeneye), one game that I could never get enough of was Star Wars EPISODE 1 RACER!

I sunk days into this game, playing all of the different characters and trying to beat my best times. I annoyed my friends because every time they came round to my house we had to play AT LEAST one game on this badboy. The weirdest thing was, I wasn't even a big fan of the Star Wars movies! Especially not the prequels. I genuinely think that this game might be the best thing that came from the prequels. Here's why:

Podracing was the best part of the prequels

Let's be honest, any scene with young Anakin in it was generally pretty annoying. But the podracing scene sticks in my mind as one of the most fun parts of the entire Star Wars franchise. It was fast-paced, cool (all of the podracer designs) and tense. This game manages to capture all of those elements very well.

They realised that young Anakin was annoying

Whoever made this game clearly didn't have George Lucas breathing down their neck telling them to make Anakin the star of this game. You'd barely notice he was there if it wasn't for the odd yelp in the background, which is just about bearable.

There's no Jar Jar Binks

I revisited this game before I wrote this blog post, just to double check this one. I'm pretty sure he's not there. Pretty sure (he's not exactly the kind of guy that would be good at hiding).

If you haven't checked this game out, please do. It has tight controls, fun maps, a good difficulty range and represents one of the more enjoyable aspects of the otherwise disappointing prequels.
